JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Performs moderately complex technical functions in support of audio visual and video teleconferencing infrastructure such as set up, operation, maintenance, configuration, modification, functionality enhancement, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of components and systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

· Supports Meeting setup and VTC connections in conference rooms prior to meeting commencement

· Supports setup and operations of AV systems for live events

· Report AV system problems to Tier 3 support teams via SNOW trouble ticket tracking software

· Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.

· Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions, and makes necessary repairs.

· Repairs or modifies equipment returned by operational users; video teleconferencing (VTC) experience which includes scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.

· Maintains current knowledge of relevant audio visual technologies as assigned.

· Participates in special projects as required.

· Review and research new video technologies for the future network requirements and technology updates

· Utilize SNOW for daily ticket requirements, maintenance activities and the creation of Change Requests and Knowledge management artifacts.

· Video Teleconferencing (VTC) experience which includes scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.

· Profient in AMX control programming (or at very least, working knowledge of)

· Experience in video engineering and design using AMX and Extron AV switches

· Experience in audio engineering an design using BSS, Polycom, Biamp, Crown, Shure, Earthworks, Sennheiser, Soundcraft and JBL products

· Ability to troubleshoot and repair failures with complex AV systems with sources and destinations across multiple rooms

· Good people and customer service skills

· Ability to communicate problems to audiences with varied understanding of how AV systems work

· Experience developing preventive maintenance programs for complex AV systems

· Must be able to take initiative in solving new problems

· Must be able to take direction

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.

8-10 years of experience

Must have a TS Secret Clearance and must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD (Entry On Duty) at the SCI level.
